A Quick Look into DJ Quick Hire
I'm Chris Carrington - founder of DJ Quick Hire. I am a creative, rooted deeply in the world of performance.
I've been immersed in music and movement since I was three years old. For the past 15 years, I've taught and choreographed dance at a professional level, bringing energy timing and showmanship to the stage. That same foundation shapes everything I do as a DJ - from reading a room to building unforgettable moments through sound and lighting.
Before I ever touched a club stage, I spent over six years touring the country as the technical director for a national dance competition. I was running audio, managing judge's systems, troubleshooting tech, all while MCing the entire weekend. When you are running a large-scale production there is zero room for error and that's exactly how DJ Quick Hire is operated. (Shoutout spotlight for the load in load out sheet idea. I will never lose an XLR cable, and I am forever grateful)
Since then, I have Dj'd hundreds of events - from private weddings to Seattle's top-tier venues like Trinity, Ora, Monkey Loft, Vue, Substation, and many more. I've shared the stage with international touring DJ's more times than I can count on my hands & feet, I've had a club residency for over a year and performed in front of 750+ people including slots at Bass Canyons Silent Disco & Local Stage.
When I'm not on the decks, I run lights for live shows at Jazz Bones in Tacoma. Designing immersive environments that elevate every track.
